ANNOUNCEMENT FOR LYME RESIDENTS WITH OLD LYME POST OFFICE BOXES

Wednesday, April 6th, 2016

Due to a change in policy at the Old Lyme Post Office, the Town of Lyme will no longer be placing the Annual Report in boxes held by Lyme residents. The new protocol would have required the town to place a Report in every mail box, regardless of the holder’s residence. There aren’t enough residents using the Old Lyme Post Office to justify the additional expense.

The alternative delivery option of paying a higher postage rate and putting a street address on Town Reports for Lyme residents would have added too much cost to the process.

Lyme residents with Old Lyme P.O. boxes can pick up their copies of the Town Report here at the Town Hall between the hours of 9 A.M. and 4 P.M., Monday through Friday.

We regret the inconvenience. There was simply no viable alternative.
