VOTER REGISTRATION – DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 1

IN PERSON: APPLICANTS MUST APPEAR IN PERSON.  HOURS 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

MAIL-IN: ALL MAIL-IN VOTER REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVD OR POST-MARKED BY THIS DATE IN ORDER TO BE ACCEPTED FOR THE NOV 8 ELECTION.

ONLINE: NOVEMBER 1 IS ALSO THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER TO ONLINE.

ABSENTEE BALLOT – DEADLINE TO ISSUE IS NOVEMBER 7

RETURNING ABSENTEE BALLOT: ABSENTEE BALLOT NEEDS TO BE MAILED SO THAT IT IS RECEIVED BY THE TOWN CLERK NOT LATER THAN THE CLOSE OF THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 8 OR RETURNED BY THE ELECTOR IN PERSON TO THE TOWN CLERK BY THE DAY BEFORE THE ELECTION.

November 8, 2016 State Election

The Electors of the Town of Lyme are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling place in said town on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, for the following purpose:

To cast their votes for Presidential and Vice-Presidential electors, United States Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Registrar of Voters.

Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling place is as follows:

Voting tabulators will be used. The polls will be opened at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.) and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.).

The Lyme Town Hall will be open for election purposes only on Election Day.

Temporary caution for Hartman Park trails

Avoid Hartman Park Power Line Right-of-Way Between October 18 and November 6, 2016

Eversource will be performing electrical transmission line work between October 18 and November 6 along the power line right-of-way in Hartman Park. They are replacing a few damaged poles with new, stronger, and thicker utility poles as well as equipment that can re-route power and limit the number of customers affected by an outage. For your safety, pay attention to signs indicating temporary trail closures.
