Thursday, January 4, 2018 Snowstorm_Information and Closings

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018

Due to the timing, severity, and duration predicted for the impending snowstorm, the Lyme Town Hall, Lyme Public Library, and Lyme Transfer Station will be closed Thursday, January 4, 2018. The library and town hall will reopen as conditions allow.  The transfer station will open Saturday, January 6 for regular hours.

With the number of inches of snow forecast, as well as the accompanying wind predictions, please exercise extreme caution if you absolutely must travel. If at all possible, please stay off the roads in order to allow the town and state crews to clear them efficiently.

Following the snow storm, we will be experiencing extremely frigid temperatures. In an emergency, call 911 immediately.  Anyone requiring non-emergency assistance due to a sustained power outage should contact our Emergency Management Director John Evans at em75@lymect.gov.
