Town Campus Center Planning Committee formed

The Board of Selectmen has appointed a committee to continue the process of developing a plan to insure that Lyme has sufficient space, operating capacity and infrastructure support to meet anticipated demand for services at both the town hall and library.

The committee’s charge is to analyze the data provided by the previous Needs Committee and develop a cost effective plan to provide Lyme residents with a facility/facilities capable of meeting the town’s long term needs as efficiently as possible, but without cutting corners.

The primary outcome of this committee’s effort should be to secure design services to produce architectural plans or schematics facilitating development of cost estimates for public review and comment. Board of Selectmen approval is required before the committee incurs any such financial obligation.

Providing the community with timely information as the process evolves and developing a broad based consensus shall be one of the key committee responsibilities.
