The Town of Lyme has scheduled a public meeting on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2P.M. It will be held at the Lyme Consolidated School and all residents and taxpayers are encouraged to attend.
The Lyme Campus Center Planning Committee is requesting the meeting to update the community on progress to date of the on going Town Hall and Library improvement project and to solicit public comment and suggestions on the latest conceptual designs.
In addition to members of the committee, Mr. Bruce Tuthill, a partner in the architectural firm of Tuthill & Wells will be on hand to describe the design process and present the current designs. Mr. Tuthill was hired by the Town of Lyme in November of 2010. He and his partner, Peter Wells, have designed several town halls and more than 50 libraries in Connecticut.
The designs at this stage are only conceptual and the committee believes it is vital to provide an opportunity for public input before they are further refined. “Bruce came up with a number of excellent designs, and the committee has been very busy narrowing them down,” said Committee chair Dan Hagan. “What we need at this point is to hear from the people of Lyme.”
In addition to attending the public meeting on March 19th, comments may be made via the project email address, firstname.lastname@example.org on the project’s blog, www.lymetowncampus.blogspot.com or by simply dropping it at the Lyme Public Library.
