The Town of Lyme, in cooperation with the Estuary Transit District, now offers free transportation to our local Cooling Center.
When weather conditions warrant the opening of a cooling center, persons in need of transportation may now call “Dial a Ride” to receive free transportation to and from their home to the Center. All transit buses are equipped with wheelchair accessible lifts for those with mobility concerns.
By calling 860-249-0429, you may request a pick up. Be sure to give the street address for your pickup and identify your destination as the Cooling Center, located at Lymes’ Senior Center, 26 Town Woods Road, Old Lyme.
A notice will be posted on this website if weather warrants opening of the Cooling Center. When the Cooling Center is open, the hours of operation are designated from 9 am to 8pm.
