Hurricane Update – Monday, October 29, 2012 – 10:30 AM: The Town Hall and Landfill will be closing at 12:00 noon. The deadline for in person voter registration has been extended to Thursday, November 1 at 8:00 PM. BEFORE THE STORM: If you require overnight shelter, you must go to the East Lyme Middle School located on Society Road, East Lyme. This location is ADA compliant, pet friendly, and has a generator. AFTER THE STORM: The Lymes’ Senior Center will serve as a Respite Center. Food and water will be available. The Hadlyme and Hamburg Fire Stations will have showers and water available. Both fire houses may also be used to recharge electronic devices. Limited access highways (such as I-95, I-395, Route 9, Route 11, etc.) will CLOSE at 1:00 PM TODAY. Should you require assistance dial 911 for emergencies and 211 for information.
The Lyme Volunteer Fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library, where more than 30 Lyme-affiliated nonprofits, associations, boards and commissions will be on hand with opportunities for local residents to volunteer and be of service to our town.
