For Information:  For updated information, please come to the information table located at the Hamburg Fire Station at 213 Hamburg Road.  The Lyme Town Hall is now open at 480 Hamburg Road from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM as well for information updates.  The Town of Lyme website, www.townlyme.org, is now being updated daily.

Road Conditions:  All roads in Lyme are now open.  Should you encounter a wire on the road in your travels, treat it as if it is energized.

Power Status:  The Clear and Make Safe phase of the process of restoring power to the town has been completed.  Damage assessments were completed on Wednesday.  CL&P will be supplying the towns in Connecticut with restoration estimates today.  We are working closely with CL&P to determine a restoration schedule.  Please be sure to report any downed lines by calling 911 and any outages by calling CL&P at 1-800-286-2000 if you are able to do so.  Please assume all downed wires are energized and stay clear!

Lyme-Old Lyme Public Schools are closed today (Thursday, November 1) and tomorrow (Friday, November 2).

Lyme Town Hall and Lyme Landfill:  As of this writing, the Lyme Town Hall has power.  Town hall will be open on Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Residents may obtain an absentee ballot by coming to the town hall during those hours.  In person voter registration has been extended to Thursday, November 1 at 8:00 PM.  The special voter registration session will take place at the town hall between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.  The Lyme Landfill will be open on Thursday, November 1 for the regular operating hours 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with the exception of 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.  As a reminder, the normal length and diameter restrictions for trees and brush will apply (length eight feet, diameter six inches).

Lymes’ Senior Center on Town Woods Road is available daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM as a respite center.  Water (bring your own containers), bottled water, MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), toilets, recharging electronic devices, and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are available.  No shower facilities.

Hadlyme and Hamburg Fire Stations are open 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM for water (bring own containers), showers (bring own towels/toiletries), bottled water, MREs, and toilets.  Residents may recharge electronic devices as well.  No meals.

Ice:  Ice is available in the parking area between the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School and Center School. 

Trash Pickup:  Regular pickup schedule has resumed.  For an emergency pickup, please contact Jansky’s Rubbish Removal at 860.304.3537.

Business Update:

Jane’s store (Hamburg), Hadlyme Country Store, Laysville Hardware and Coffee’s Market Deli (Old Lyme) are all open. Businesses on Halls Road, including Big Y, have had power restored.  Many businesses in Old Saybrook are open.  All-Pro is open and now has gas.  Boston Post Road in Old Lyme has power.
