As most residents in the Hadlyme section of Lyme have already observed, the state has begun work on Ferry Road. The project scope includes enhanced drainage and milling and repaving of the entire length of the road from the Hadlyme Four Corners to the ferry landing.
There will be a public information meeting tomorrow (Wednesday the 7th) at the DOT District Office on Route 82 in Norwich. It is located next to the Department of Motor Vehicles office. The meeting starts at 10:30 A.M.
The project schedule is not firm at this point and will depend to a large extent on how quickly the drainage component is completed. The DOT Norwich office will be issuing periodic updates and the town hall will try to make sure they appear on Lyme’s web page in a timely fashion.
If anyone has questions relating to the project, the best thing to do is contact the Norwich office directly. That number is: 860-823-3210.
