The Lyme Town Hall will be closed Tuesday, January 27th as a precautionary action due to the impending blizzard.

Residents are advised to take the usual precautionary measures to prepare for the storm which is forecast to end around early Wednesday morning.

Strong wind gusts are expected so the likelihood of power outages should be anticipated. Have fresh batteries and a water supply available as well as any non-perishable food stocks and any medications you may need.

If  power permits, the town web page will be updated as needed including notice if the Emergency Operations Center is to be opened. That is a determination which will most likely be made some time Tuesday morning.

The town crew will be out trying to keep pace with the storm. For safety reasons and to make their job as easy as possible please stay off our roads until they have been opened up. Also, remember when plowing out your driveways to clear any residue off town roads so as not to create safety issues.

Be safe, exercise caution and common sense and we will get through this event in good shape.
