Lyme is slated to begin this season’s road oiling (chip sealing) schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4th. Parkside Drive is the first road slated for treatment with Bill Hill, Salem, Beaver Brook, Brush Hill and Mitchell Hill Roads to follow in succession. Please excuse any inconvenience you may experience during the two weeks or so it will take to complete the job. The town will also be repairing some additional sections of roads that were damaged as a result of almost constant plowing due to last winter’s heavy snows.
The stone will stay in place for two to three weeks before final sweeping to insure complete penetration and adherence to the road surfaces.
Again, thank you in advance for your patience during this routine summertime maintenance chore.
