The LYME EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT CENTER (located at the back of the Hamburg Fire Station) will be open today as a community respite center, upon request. Residents who would like to use the respite center should contact John Evans at 860-625-0237 to gain access. Residents are welcome to come to the center to stay warm, charge cell phones or take a shower. (Bring your own towels if you plan to shower.) Park in the back of the fire station and enter the lower door in the back. There will be a sign, and a sign-in sheet.
The LYME PUBLIC LIBRARY is open today from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. – as an additional community respite center, another place to stay warm or charge phones.
