On Monday, May 7, at 7 p.m., at the Lyme Public Hall, the Lyme Fire Marshal’s Office and the Ledgelight Health District will be offering a free informational seminar on food safety designed for nonprofit organizations that conduct special events involving the selling or offering of food to the public. Topics covered at the seminar will include the safety requirements that apply to the use of kitchens; the preparation and serving of food; food handling and storage activities; and proper sanitation. The presentation will also focus on the use of transportable LP gas devices, food trucks and solid-fuel cooking. The Lyme Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at Lyme Town Hall to hear and act on the following matters:
- An application to amend zoning regulations by Edward M. Bombaci, 131-2 Salem Road, Map 46 Lot 3, requesting an amendment to Chapter 315, Article 23.3, Existing nonconforming lots; and an amendment to Chapter 315, Article 2.2, Definitions.
