The CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will hold a public hearing on Nov. 13 concerning the preliminary recommendation by the State that portions of the Lower Connecticut River, Bluff Point, Haley Farm State Park and adjacent areas of Long Island Sound be proposed to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for designation as a National Estuarine Research Reserve. The hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Academic Building Auditorium at the University of Connecticut’s Avery Point campus, located at 1084 Shennecossett Road in Groton.
