People with disabilities and seniors age 60 or over are eligible to use 9 Town Transit’s new Taxi Voucher Program which enables these residents to purchase taxi fares at half price. The vouchers can be used for transportation to anywhere and at anytime that the participating taxi company (Curtain Transportation) provides service.

Program Overview
The Estuary Transit District’s Taxi Voucher Program provides accessible transportation outside of the 9 Town Transit service area and hours, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The service is available to seniors age 60 and over and persons with disabilities.   A participant’s payments are matched 100% through the program, making taxi trips more affordable.

Eligibility & Application Process
Anyone who has a CT statewide reduced-fare ID or a Medicare card, or who has been certified for ADA paratransit, or who is age 60 and over is immediately eligible for the Taxi Voucher Program.
