On Saturday, Jun. 1, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., the Lyme Land Conservation Trust will celebrate CT Trails Day by opening the NaturePlace Self-Guided Trail, which highlights fascinating ecology, history and geology in the Banningwood Preserve. The interpretive trail, which will be available as a new map and brochure, is designed to engage curious hikers of all ages and interests. NaturePlace is an outdoor education space inspired by the vision of Diana and Parker Lord.  The Banningwood Preserve is located off Town Street in Lyme. Reservations for the free event would be appreciated at openspace@townlyme.org.  (This event will be canceled in the event of rain.)
