On Tuesday, June 18, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., volunteers will be gathering to prepare the Riverside Preserve for its June 23rd opening. Local residents will be clearing brush, invasive plants and sapling growth, as well as cleaning up the field. Participants are encouraged to bring loppers, clippers, work gloves, rakes, weed whackers and bottled water. Snacks will be provided. The Lyme Volunteer Fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library, where more than 30 Lyme-affiliated nonprofits, associations, boards and commissions will be on hand with opportunities for local residents to volunteer and be of service to our town.
