On Tuesday, June 18, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., volunteers will be gathering to prepare the Riverside Preserve for its June 23rd opening. Local residents will be clearing brush, invasive plants and sapling growth, as well as cleaning up the field. Participants are encouraged to bring loppers, clippers, work gloves, rakes, weed whackers and bottled water. Snacks will be provided. The Riverside Preserve is located on Salem Road about 0.4 miles from Route 156. Please email email@example.com if you are planning to attend. (Rain date for this event is Wednesday, June 19.)
The Ledge Light Health District (LLHD) will hold a free vaccine clinic on Monday, Feb. 6, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Lymes’ Senior Center. The clinic will offer residents a choice of a regular flu shot (not a high dose) or a Covid vaccine shot or both. The vaccines are available to anyone over the age of 18, with no cost requirement. The vaccines will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies run out. The clinic is offering walk-up service only; no reservations will be taken. Residents who want to receive the Covid vaccine should bring their Covid vaccination card with them.
