On Friday, Dec. 27, at 3:00 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library: A presentation by Chelsea Evankow, a 2014 graduate of LOLHS and current Peace Corps volunteer serving in Zambia, Africa. She has been living and teaching in a rural village for the past 15 months and will return there for an additional year to complete her assignment. Her primary responsibilities include teaching English to grades 5-8 and building teacher-to-teacher capacity. Chelsea will share her experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in relation to challenges, successes and daily life.

The Lyme Volunteer Fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library, where more than 30 Lyme-affiliated nonprofits, associations, boards and commissions will be on hand with opportunities for local residents to volunteer and be of service to our town.
