The Lyme Public Library has issued the following statement:

In the wake of Governor Lamont’s declaration of a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 virus and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Ledge Light Health District, the Board of Directors of the Lyme Public Library has decided to suspend all Library programs and meeting room use from Sunday, March 15 – Saturday, April 4. We hope this will help stem the spread of the virus and protect our community and staff.

Individuals and groups who have reserved our meeting rooms during this period, will be notified.

The Library remains open for all other services. If you cannot travel to the library, remember our digital services are available 24/7. You can download books and audio books, and stream TV shows and movies from Overdrive, Hoopla, RB Digital, and Kanopy. If you have any questions, please call the library at 860-434-2272.

The library asks patrons to continue observing recommended procedures such as frequent hand washing with soap and water, and not visiting the library if you are ill.

Thank you.
