Every four years, Rogers Lake is purposely drawn down 14 inches to give lakeside property owners the opportunity to work on their “sea walls” and docks. This year, it is anticipated that the draw down will begin on Tuesday, Sep. 15, which means the lake would be fully drawn down by Wednesday, Sep. 23. Under this anticipated schedule, the draw down would be maintained until Thursday, Oct. 22, at which point the lake would be allowed to fill back up. The Rogers Lake Authority (RLA) will make the official decision whether or not to proceed with the draw down at its Aug. 12 meeting.
