The Rogers Lake Authority is planning to draw down the lake 14 inches this year beginning September 15th. This is so Rogers Lake property owners can conduct any maintenance to their docks or sea walls as needed. We expect the drawdown to take one week and the lake will be allowed to refill October 22. A final decision on the drawdown will be announced on Thursday, August 13. Thank you for you assistance.
Last day for timely payment of taxes levied on personal property list as of the previous October 1.

On Saturday, Sep. 26, at 2:00 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library: Author Erik Hesselberg presents “Night Boat to New York: Steamboats on the Connecticut 1824-1931” – which explores the days when steamboats on the Connecticut River transported people and goods between Hartford and New York City, and helped transplant the inland America “Spa Culture” to the seashore. Departing each afternoon from Hartford, the “night boats” reached New York at daybreak, inaugurating a pattern of city commuting that continues to this day. Free and open to all.
