On Saturday, Feb. 27, at 2:00 p.m., the Friends of the Lyme Public Library will offer “Eco-Safari of the Connecticut Watershed,” a Zoom presentation by conservation biologist Jim Arrigoni. The interactive webinar will take participants on a virtual tour of the watershed, highlighting the flora and fauna, and unique aspects of its natural and human history. On Sunday, Feb. 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Lyme Land Trust will offer a geology walk in the Brockway-Hawthorne Preserve with former state geologist Ralph Lewis. Masks must be worn in the parking lot, but may be removed during the walk if social distancing is maintained. Reservations are required. Contact education@lymelandtrust.org to reserve a spot.

On Sunday, Mar. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the LLT will offer guided walks in two Lyme preserves to look for tracks and other evidence left behind by wildlife. The Banningwood Preserve walk will be led by LLT’s environmental director Sue Cope; the Pleasant Valley Preserve walk will be led by forest ecologist Tony Irving. Space is limited.
