On Saturday, Sep. 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., the Lyme Land Trust is offering a “Walk with Joe Standart,” an award-winning photographer and the creator of “Imagining Lyme,” through the Thach Preserve. “Imagining Lyme” is an amateur photography program that encourages residents to expand their visual awareness while highlighting the beauty of Lyme preserves. Lyme’s Open Space Coordinator has announced that on select Tuesday mornings in September, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., she and other explorers will once again lead “Tuesday Treks” – weekly walks through different Town preserves. The trek leaders will alternate between Sue Cope, Wendy Hill, Tony Irving and Kristina White. (To reserve a spot, contact the appropriate trek leader; see below.) In the event of inclement weather, the treks are canceled.
