On Saturday, Jun. 19, at 10:00 a.m., the Lyme Land Trust (LLT) will offer a one-mile “Chestnut Tree Hike” in Nehantic State Forest, led by retired forester Emery Gluck and Jack Swatt, president of the American Chestnut Foundation’s Connecticut chapter.  Large chestnut trees are rarely seen since they were devastated by a blight 100 years ago.  Space is limited; reservations are required.  Contact education@lymelandtrust.org for more information or to reserve a spot.
