On Tuesday mornings in October, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Lyme’s Open Space Coordinator Wendy Hill and other local leaders will continue to lead “Tuesday Treks” – weekly walks through different Town preserves. Trek leaders alternate between Sue Cope, Tony Irving, Kristina White and Wendy Hill. (To reserve a spot, contact the appropriate trek leader; see below.) In the event of inclement weather, the treks are canceled.

On Tuesday, Oct. 26, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., the library’s “Nutmeg Book Club” for Grades 4-5 to read books for their age group that have received the award.
The award-winning books are listed on the library’s website here. Space in the program is limited; a snack will be provided. All participants will be socially distanced and required to wear masks. To register, go here.
On Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Lyme Public Library will kick off its “Open Studio” art program for students in Grades 6-12, which will enable them to create still life paintings or drawings. The program, which will continue to meet weekly through Dec. 21, is limited to 10 participants; all participants will be socially distanced and required to wear masks.
