Update on Grassy Hill Road Repair Work; Gungy Road Work To Begin

Phase 1 of the Grassy Hill Road repairs have been completed. The road will have one lane open at all times while we await the delivery of guardrails. These are projected to arrive in about two weeks. The road will be closed for approximately one day for the installation of the guardrails, once they arrive.

Repairs of a bridge on Gungy Road will begin tomorrow (September 30) and should take about one week. The road will be closed during workdays and all efforts will be made to allow one-lane traffic on nights and weekends while the repairs are being completed.

The Lyme Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., at Lyme Town Hall to hear and act on the following matters:

An application to amend zoning regulations by Edward M. Bombaci, 131-2 Salem Road, Map 46 Lot 3, requesting an amendment to Chapter 315, Article 23.3, Existing nonconforming lots; and an amendment to Chapter 315, Article 2.2, Definitions.
An application to amend zoning regulations by William T. Koch Jr., Avenue B, Map 40.4 Lot 4, requesting an amendment to Chapter 315, Article 23.3, Existing nonconforming lots.
The cover letter sent by the Lyme Zoning Enforcement Officer (ZEO) to the P&Z Commission, neighboring municipalities and regional organizations regarding the public hearing on the Bombaci amendment request can be read here.
