On Monday, Feb. 7, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom, the Lower Connecticut River Council of Governments (RiverCOG) will hold a meeting on affordable housing specifically for the residents of Lyme.
During the meeting, a RiverCOG consultant will discuss the definition of affordable housing, provide an overview of an affordable housing plan and share survey results for Lyme that were gathered during the development of RiverCOG’s regional housing plan.
All Lyme residents are encouraged to attend the meeting and share their visions, hopes and concerns for affordable housing in Lyme. Click here for the Zoom link to the Feb. 7 meeting.
As a reminder, on Monday, Jan. 24, at 7:00 p.m. on Zoom, RiverCOG is holding a second presentation on its regional housing plan, during which it will wrap up its work on the regional piece of the plan and initiate the creation of the state-mandated affordable housing plans for area municipalities, including Lyme’s. In November of 2021, RiverCog published its 10-year Regional Plan of Conservation & Development – a land-use plan that is intended to inform land-use decisions made by RiverCOG, land-use commissions, town governments and state agencies; and to encourage land-use coordination across municipal boundaries.
