Pfizer and Care Access are looking for adults and children 5 years of age and older to participate in a clinical research study aimed at developing a vaccine for Lyme Disease.

The purpose of the study is to determine if a vaccine currently under development is effective in preventing Lyme Disease in adults and children age 5 and up who spend a lot of time outdoors and are at risk of getting Lyme Disease.

The study is expected to last about two years, during which time participants will receive three doses of either the vaccine or a placebo, followed by a booster dose one year later.

The study will be holding mobile clinics soon in New London, Norwich and Saybrook for volunteers who qualify for participation.  To find out more about the study or to submit their name as potential participants, Lyme residents should go to https://fightlyme.careaccess.com.
