The Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) recently announced its annual “Stand Down” event for veterans will be held this year on Friday, Sep. 23, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at five locations across the state. The closest location to Lyme will be the Easter Seals Veterans Rally Point at 24 Stott Avenue in Norwich. This event provides a one-stop location for Connecticut’s veterans, active-duty, National Guard and Reserve military personnel and their immediate families to access DVA services and programs from federal agencies, veterans organizations and community-based nonprofits.
