On Monday, Jun. 26 – weather permitting – the Town will begin chip sealing 20 of our local roads, beginning with Shore Drive. Chip sealing is a process similar to paving that will protect these roads from deterioration and is typically needed every 6-10 years.

The Town will strive to post a schedule of which roads are being chip sealed on which dates, as we receive updated information from the contractor.

Please be patient during this road construction – be mindful of our Town Crew and contractor who will be hard at work, and use caution when traveling through these areas.

The other 19 roads scheduled to undergo chip sealing this summer include:

  • Alden Place
  • Avenue B
  • Becket Hill Road
  • Bill Hill Road
  • Blood Street
  • Brockway’s Ferry Road
  • Burr Road
  • Clark Road
  • Cove Road
  • Day Hill Road
  • Elys Ferry Road
  • Honey Hill Road
  • Oak Street
  • Oakland Avenue
  • Park Side Drive
  • Roger’s Lake Trail
  • Selden Road
