With great sadness, the Town of Lyme shares the news with residents today that Ralph Eno, who served as our Town’s First Selectman from 1991 to 2001, and again from 2006 to 2017, passed away on September 29 at his home in Maine.

First Selectman David Lahm said, “Ralph was an incredibly talented and longtime-serving steward of our town, and our hearts go out to his friends and family.”

Among his many accomplishments during his tenures as First Selectman, Eno played an integral role in the renovation of Town Hall, the building of a new public library and the conversion of the Town’s landfill into a transfer station – which was later named in his honor when he retired in 2017.  He was also known as a champion of open space.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service or formal obituary.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Maranacook Food Bank via the Maranacook Education Foundation website.
