In anticipation of next year marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the Bacdayan Local History Archives is collecting firsthand accounts and memories of Lyme during the years 1938 to 1946.

The Archives is seeking letters, diaries, memoirs, photographs and other documents that record experiences on the home front in Lyme, as well as information on Lyme servicemen and women.

Residents who would like to contribute information or assist with the project should contact the Archives at or call 860-598-9760.

The Bacdayan Local History Archives, which is located in the Lyme Public Library, is a project of the Lyme Public Hall & Local History Archives, Inc.
