On Sunday, Oct. 27, the Town of Lyme shared this advisory from the Fire Chief: “Lyme residents, there is a statewide Red Flag Warning due to the extremely dry and windy conditions, with an extreme fire danger warning from the State. No outside fires, burning of leaves or unprotected grilling. Small-engined equipment such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers or chain saws should have spark arrestors on exhaust pipes. Please be vigilant and do your part in protecting Lyme and our community. Immediately report any fires by dialing 911. Thank you. – Lyme Fire Chief”
