I want to thank our Town Crew and everyone who worked over the past several days, giving up their nights and the weekend to ensure the safety of our residents during this most recent storm. Town resources were coordinated in advance of the storm and communications and response efforts were put into place.
I am especially grateful to our Town Crew: Lars Anderson (Superintendent), Bob Collins, Chris Hatt, PJ Signore, Kyle Turner – for their long hours and dedication in keeping roads passable and the town safe. Lars remained on top of road conditions throughout the storm, ensuring that issues were identified and addressed as quickly as possible.
Agencies involved included Lyme Emergency Management, led by Josh Adams with Edward Vidou, Deputy Emergency Management Director; Lyme Public Safety and Lyme Fire, both under the leadership of John Evans; Lyme EMS, led by Stephen Olstein and Ariana Eaton; and town social services director, Kathy Tisdale. Lyme EMS had a crew staged in Hamburg, and the Fire Department had a duty officer standing by throughout the storm.
Thank you to our residents for staying off the roads. Your cooperation played a vital role in allowing town services to operate safely and effectively. Weather updates and safety warnings were posted on the Town of Lyme website, the Town of Lyme Facebook page, and the Public Safety Facebook page.
We are deeply appreciative of everyone who contributed. Their service reflects the commitment, generosity, and shared responsibility that make Lyme such a strong community.
