The Town of Lyme announced today that it was adopting the Alternative Depreciation Schedule beginning with the Motor Vehicle Grand List for 2025. The majority of Connecticut towns have already adopted this schedule, so this will bring Lyme in line with most other towns in the state. The change will increase the current depreciation schedule by 5%. As a result, some residents will see a minimal increase to their annual motor vehicle assessment; many will see their assessment remain the same as the previous year.
