The Connecticut Department of Transportation plans to begin applying the rubber chip seal surface treatment on Route 156 (Hamburg Road) beginning July 1. Crews will start on Halls Road in Old Lyme and work north toward Route 82 during the following week. As materials are delivered throughout the project, residents should expect additional truck traffic, periodic delays and temporary lane restrictions.
