On Sunday, Oct. 20, at 2:00 p.m., at the Lyme Public Hall: Professor Rolf Wolfswinkel will present “The Price of Folly: Germany after WWI and the Hitler Years 1933-1939.” Free.
On Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., the Lymes’ Senior Center will have a Medicare Choices Counselor on hand to meet with individual seniors and answer questions about Medicare supplement plans and 2020 changes in Medicare. Interested residents should call the center at 860-434-4127 to reserve a one-hour appointment with the counselor; and plan to bring a list of all their medications and doctors to their appointment.
To learn more about what can and can’t be recycled in Connecticut, Lyme residents are encouraged to attend a free presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7:00 p.m., in Old Saybrook. Details are included in the attached flyer.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7:00 p.m., at the Lyme Public Library: Connecticut River Conservancy Executive Director Andy Fisk presents “River Monsters & Ichthyological Fish Tales of the Connecticut River.” Free.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau (LYSB) is holding a “Drug Take Back Day” at the Old Lyme Fire House, where residents can safely dispose of unused or expired medications. See the flyer here.
