On Sunday, Nov. 17, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., High Hopes Therapeutic Riding will hold its 9th Annual Holiday Market featuring 60 artisan vendors, food trucks, beer and wine tastings, crafts and games for children, raffles and other contests. Admission is free with a donation to the Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries. Free parking is available onsite, subject to weather. For more information, go here.
On Sunday, Nov. 17, at 1:00 p.m., the Lyme Open Space Coordinator and the Lyme Land Conservation Trust (LLCT) are offering a free nature walk in the Banningwood Preserve, led by Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center Education Director Kim Hargrave. The walk will help young children explore rock outcroppings, notice seasonal changes and search out creatures getting ready for winter. On Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., the Lymes’ Senior Center will have a Medicare Choices Counselor on hand to meet with individual seniors and answer questions about Medicare supplement plans and 2020 changes in Medicare. Interested residents should call the center at 860-434-4127 to reserve a one-hour appointment with the counselor; and plan to bring a list of all their medications and doctors to their appointment.
