On Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Lyme Public Library will kick off its “Open Studio” art program for students in Grades 6-12, which will enable them to create still life paintings or drawings. The program, which will continue to meet weekly through Dec. 21, is limited to 10 participants; all participants will be socially distanced and required to wear masks. On Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 p.m., the Lyme Pollinator Pathway, the Friends of the Lyme Public Library and the Lyme Land Trust will present DEEP Wildlife Biologist Pete Piccone in a Zoom presentation entitled “To Plant or Not To Plant: Conserving Connecticut’s Biological Diversity,” which explains how to help local wildlife by planting native plants and managing invasive ones.
