Town Hall, Transfer Station, Recycling Center Closed Nov. 23-24
Lyme Town Hall, the Lyme Transfer Station and the Hamburg Recycling Center will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Town Hall will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 7, for the purposes of the election only. (Town Hall will be closed for regular business.)
Lyme Town Hall will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, and the Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
Lyme Town Hall, the Lyme Transfer Station and the Hamburg Recycling Center will be closed Monday, Oct. 9, in observance of Columbus Day.
Due to a staffing shortage, the Hamburg Recycling Center will also be closed Saturday, Oct. 7, and Sunday, Oct. 8.
Residents who wish to drop off their recycling this weekend can do so at the Lyme Transfer Station on Saturday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The Transfer Station is located at 110 Brush Hill Road.
The Town of Lyme would like to remind area residents that the traditional Cove Road July 4th Parade will be held Tuesday, July 4, at approximately 10:00 a.m., in celebration of Independence Day. The parade will begin near Camp Claire on Cove Road, cross Route 156 and end at the Lyme Grange.
The grand marshal for this year’s parade will be Steve Mattson, who served as a Selectman on Town of Lyme’s Board of Selectmen for 17 years and then as First Selectman for 5 years, before retiring in 2022. Mattson currently continues to serve the Town as a member of the Board of Finance.
The Town advises its residents that temporary street closings will be in effect during the parade, travel delays are possible and parking may be limited in some areas.
Route 156 will be closed from approximately 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. between Sterling City Road North and South with a detour along Sterling City Road.

The Board of Selectmen meeting originally scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Monday, Jul. 3, has been moved to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jul. 5.

On Tuesday, May 2, Lyme Town Hall will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. only for voting on the School Budget Referendum. Town Hall will be closed for regular business.
