POWER IS BEING RESTORED INTERMITTENTLY. ASSUME ALL DOWNED WIRES ARE ENERGIZED AND STAY CLEAR!

We continue to assume power may be out for parts of town foe ten days to two weeks. As of 6:15 am today, 93% of the town of Lyme is still without power. Our neighbors are in similar circumstances: Old Lyme 71% East Haddam 87%, Deep River 75%. Chester and Salem are still 100% without power.
Minor areas of blocked roads are being addressed. Ten additional crews arrived at 6:00 pm Tuesday, joining the three crews who have been with us since Monday. These new crews cannot touch transformers, but can clear trees, poles, and wires so that the predicted eight crews of linemen, who arrive today, can come in and do their part. The focus will first be to repair, the main line, which is Rte 156.

Regular landfill hours will resume Thursday. The normal length and diameter restrictions will apply (length eight feet, diameter 6 inches.
