“Sculptures & Paintings” Exhibit by Judy Cotton
Internationally recognized artist and author Judy Cotton exhibits a collection of her paintings and sculptures in the Community Room. The art will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to support the library.

“The Sweet Spot” — The Library’s Coffee Cafe
The library offers this popular monthly gathering in its café where residents enjoy coffee, tea, pastries, games, magazines, newspapers and the company of friends and neighbors.

Shell & Bee Studio Art Class – Afternoon Art for Grades 1-5
Shell & Bee Studio offers a fun, creative, after-school art class for elementary school students in Grades 1-5.

USA Financial Services Presents “Tax-Efficient Strategies”
Representatives from USA Financial & Tax Services explain new tax laws, why tax law keeps changing and how residents can use the laws to save effectively for retirement.

The library’s Chess Club welcomes all levels of chess players, from beginners to advanced.

Artist Reception with Judy Cotton
Internationally recognized artist and author Judy Cotton will read from her new book and discuss her art exhibit on display in the library. Refreshments will be served.

Award-winning screenwriter Janet Roach leads this Sunday afternoon film series featuring memorable international films. Today’s movie: “Breaker Morant.”

Lyme Library Puzzle Club
The library’s Puzzle Club brings together friends and neighbors to assemble jigsaw puzzles of various sizes.

Celebrating National Poetry Month with the Connecticut River Poets
Members of the Connecticut River Poets will read poems created by the group’s members. Refreshments will be served.

Audubon Birding Program – Spring Birding, Northern Migration
Representatives from the Audubon Society’s Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center explain where, when and how to look for migrating birds in the spring.

Friday, Apr. 19, 1:00 p.m.
“As the Page Turns” Book Club
The Book Club cosponsored by the Lyme Public Library and the Lymes’ Senior Center will discuss this month’s book selection. Copies of the book can be picked up at the library’s circulation desk.  Today’s book: “A Single Thread” by Tracy Chevalier.

This program for children ages 3-6 provides hands-on learning experiences that excite kids about science, engineering, technology, math and art.

Lyme Library American Mah Jongg Club
The library’s Mah Jonng Club brings together residents for two hours of playing the popular game.  Previous Mah Jonng experience is preferred.
