The Lyme Registrars of Voters have issued an important reminder regarding the August 11, 2026, Democratic and Republican Primaries, if these primaries are scheduled to be held.
These are the primaries where enrolled voters who are registered/affiliated with a political party are able to vote for state and district candidates from that party.
Residents who are already registered/affiliated with one political party, but wish to change parties before the primaries, must do so no later than Monday, May 11.
Unaffiliated voters who wish to vote in these primaries must establish a party affiliation by August 10.
Voters can update their party affiliation by going to myvote.ct.gov/register or by filling out a new voter registration card at Lyme Town Hall.
