On Saturday, Aug. 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Invasive Species Plant Work Group will lead a tour of the invasive-plant management work that took place last fall in the Jewett and Pleasant Valley Preserves. The tour will include some actual work cutting, pulling and digging out invasives in the meadows and surrounding woods. For full details, see this flyer.
The Invasive Plant Work Group’s mission is to restore native habitat throughout the region. The group’s work benefits the Town of Lyme, the Lyme Land Trust and the Nature Conservancy – the three organizations that manage Lyme’s preserves.
